He's quite a shy, softly spoken man.

And I'm like, but from day one, he was never scared of me.

He just completely accepted me.

And also that night when he took me back to his flat for the first time, he showed me a letter that he had written me.

So before he met me, he'd read my writing in the Observer and

when I when I had my column there and he'd written me a fan letter saying how much he loved me and he'd written this he'd read this fan letter out to his then girlfriend and she went you're going to leave me for Kathleen Moran

And she was right.

See, this is the dream, I think.

This is one of the reasons why we write.

And I can remember the piece that he had seen that he wrote to me about was just me going uptown, looking at boys that I fancied and describing which ones I fancied.

And at the time, I remember thinking, this is like putting a message in a bottle and throwing it into the sea.

I hope the boy, some boy that does fancy me, reads this.

I'm putting everything, I'm selling myself so hard in this piece.
