So they're just mountains that don't pass over the surface of the sea.

Maybe they did at some point.

And then he talks about that you can go from these other islands to the opposite continent.

Now, the opposite continent is not Europe.

It's not Africa.

It's the continent that surrounds the true ocean, which this sea inside is just, you know, it's a harbor with a narrow entrance.
