When you face in that type of velocity, there's very few guys that can just actually see it and hit it.

You've got to get going.

And so when 65% of your pitches are in a different, slower zone, you can get away with not having to gear up.

Well, the minute I force you to gear up, then I can drop the other stuff in and make you look like a fool.

And so it's remarkable what he does, to be honest with you, with 35% fastballs, but

Man, if I was catching, I would just be out there adamantly hitting that pitch calm button.

I'd be doing it over and over and over.

And you keep shaking all you want.

I'm going to keep calling it until you run up to zero and then throw whatever you want.

But I would get forceful with him.

That's just me.

I don't.

Yeah, and look, I want him to strike guys out.

I just also believe that when you throw as many four seams as he does and the purity at which he throws it in terms of how it places his hands.

I've talked about this numerous times on your show.

When your hand is in the perfect spot, the other pitches then come behind it.

And so the more often I could potentially throw a four-seamer, and I'm not talking about throwing it in bad counts.

There's always the guys that you might need to throw four out of six breaking balls or change-ups or whatever.
