to get him kind of back on track.

Yeah, you know, this is something that is baffling to me.

With that kind of fastball,

Some people on the other side might say, well, the fastball plays up because he only throws it 35% of the time.

And I'm just not going to buy that because my eye test tells me it's elite whether you throw it 60% of the time or 35% of the time.

It all comes down to, in my opinion, when you have strikeout artists,

strikeout artists love to see swing and miss.

And it does generate some swing and miss, but not like the other pitches do.

And so sometimes these guys can get stuck in a, I don't ever want anybody to put the ball in play, and so I'm going to throw my highest swing and miss percentage pitches.

I think that's kind of where he landed with the changeup.

And now the changeup is opening quite a bit of maneuverability for him.

He didn't love it, and he will say it's not metrically sexy.

And I'm just so tired of listening to some of these guys, to be frank with you, about the metrics.

The eye test tells you if you've got 98, if you can get a changeup over the plate, it's going to be good if I, as the catcher, set it up correctly.

I don't care if it's not spinning at X or moving at XY axis.

I'll make it good by the way I use it if you can get me the heater over and

I would try and pump him up and get him to bully guys with that fastball.

I don't want it to be a surprise pitch.

I want it to be a dominant pitch, and then I can almost guarantee you that I'll generate more swing and miss with all of the pitches combined if you give me more of the heater because when they have to respect that 98 to triple-digit heater, they've got to move that bat head out in front.
