This is the highest weight that he has ever been.
And he's holding the weight, too, which is really important.
So he's right now playing more around like 193, he told me, whereas last year he was in the 180s.
There's a couple of things going into that.
One, his diet, that he is now, say, like eating breakfast, which he said he never used to do before.
And he's also totally adjusted his weight room routine.
He said last year he would lift maybe like once a week, and now he's lifting two to three times a week.
So he's working hard.
with assistant strength and conditioning coach Mark Weissman a lot.
And all of this suggestion goes back to Caleb Williams.
I asked him just about that relationship, and a lot of what they've talked about or what he's observed about Caleb is the recovery, the weight room.
He's like, I mean, you look at those guys' necks, and they're huge, which is so true.
So a friendship that can help in a lot of ways.
I knew today.
My leadership-wise, stepping up, I think you got to start off with earning that respect.
And a lot of that comes from being able to go win ballgames, doing it on Sundays.
And obviously, you got to show up.
You got to work Monday to Saturday.
And then on Sundays, you got to go win.
So it's a seven-day week process.
