Kyle Mnangai was not looking good in those short yardage scenarios, and he got shot back right there at the Bulls.
The Bears.
We'll talk Bulls.
This is Marshall's time to shine, ladies and gentlemen.
But that was just a bad moment for the Bears, I thought.
I was very surprised.
I'm going to be honest, because the numbers told us and the tape told us and the stats told us that Matt Stafford against the Blitz is the best in the league.
and the Bears on a slick surface at Soldier Field.
The Rams were on it too, but still, that's going to mean that you lose a step when it's that cold, and it is that unforgiving of a surface that you're standing and playing on.
So add to that the fact that the guys who usually help you on your blitzes are in the secondary, like Kyler Gordon playing in his second game coming off of
injured reserve, or for example, Jaquan Brisker, who I don't know that you could necessarily afford to lose with the safety help up top.
And for them to still be able to blitz with Kyler Gordon the way they did and add pressure and try to fool Matt Stafford, I was...
pleasantly surprised to say the absolute least I think Dennis Allen deserves all of the credit for sticking to a game plan that he knew his team could execute and it's it's one of the brightest spots for me and it's frankly the reason I am sad that that performance didn't end up with him in the NFC championship game today
I think that's a fair response, the sadness knowing, man, this could have been a contender.
And, like, understanding if you can win this game, you got a good chance of winning the next game if you did this game.
Except for the whole having to go on the road to face Seattle and that defense, which is scary.
Yeah, what was all that Niners are a threat talk?
Niners are a threat to score a touchdown.
Threat because they didn't actually score a touchdown.
