I think it's failed.

Well, it's fractured.

You see all these people tweaking out on social media being like, I better throw out my soy sauce.

I better throw out, like, my noodles.

I'm like, really?

You know, there's a difference between soft culture and hard culture.

And, like, soft culture is different.

It's, you know, great.

Like...

the food or you know certain practice i don't know like there's certain things that are great and fine that actually add to a society for the benefit of everyone but when there's parts of a hard culture i.e no i don't want cousin marriage to be normalized in australia because your culture or your religion says that's the norm you know that's legalized though

Yeah, I know, exactly right.

Like that is, there is a very big distinction between soft and hard and that's sure you can, I think with culture and this whole debate is you can branch it into so many different directions, but yeah, those two things shouldn't get confused.

Like hard culture,

That, you know, is something that is incredibly normalized in, you know, one country shouldn't be necessarily normalized in Australia unless, of course, it adheres to our foundational groundwork of who we are as a country.

you remember like what even you know the definition of like of culture is culture isn't defined by um skin color it's defined by i think um set of social norms and and values like by by definition we can look it up which is i guess it's not necessarily tangible but but it is like it's it's a value set of um

what values are normalized socially in a society and there are things again we pull from our Westminster system which establishes fairness rule of law democracy and so forth and our values are then drawn from that and there are fundamentally the reason why you know people want to come to Australia and want to live here is because it's it's safer it's fairer it's better for
