And so it's possible that people are also feeling this pressure to really talk up how their career is going.
And so maybe the person who sounds like they're doing so great is exaggerating a little bit.
So that's not to mean be suspicious of everybody or assume the worst about everybody, but just, you know, take the bragging with a grain of salt and don't get too caught up in comparing yourself to somebody else's supposed achievements.
You got to sort of pace yourself, right?

I don't think that young workers truly know what they're in for because for so many, the working world is a new experience.

So there's a disconnect between what we admire in others and what we actually do ourselves that is fueled by this worry that I'm going to have to work a really long time.

And so I really can't take my foot off the gas.

It depends on what the purpose of the break is.

So if it's because you have felt a sense of burnout and you need to recharge, then the best thing to do, honestly, might be to truly unplug, kind of go off the grid a little while and don't be too plugged in to what's going on in your industry.
