How do you go about communicating to the dog
And what's your process to to uh let them know that yes, I know you can't get your nose this far from it, but I really like what you're showing me and I want to reinforce that in this case effort to show me it's there.
Talk me through uh a little bit of how you communicate that and a little bit of process that you have to help a dog understand that even if they can't get right to it because of all the history they've had being close to a can or what have you, um
how you communicate success for the dog to know that that's still what I want you to do even if you can't get to it.

Well, I'm afraid if I if I work on this a little too much, people go, I'm afraid to get my dog my dog will start fringing.
And uh and it's a it's a good topic of discussion because I'm like, Well, okay, if your fear is fringing, if it's high out of their ability to get to it, aren't we still fringing?
Like the bridge.
And I and I and I try to share with them it's
we have to communicate the context understanding.
If you can't get to it, invertical is an easier one for them to understand.
But I joke around all the time how inadvertently
People have taught their dogs how to communicate to them when they can't get to something.
I I the example I gave just yesterday in the class too was, How many times have you seen it when your toy or ball or whatever rolls under the sofa?
And you didn't know that at first, but your dog knows it's there
How do you know that your dog is trying to tell you they they they can't get to something that they want to get?
And I said, So look how well you trained that.
And you weren't really involved other than you gotta go lift your sofa up, move your sofa out of the way, do whatever.
And lo and behold, the dog's like, Hey, thanks, man.
