I I share with them, I'm like, the same principle that we're doing there within reason is something that you can do that communicates to them when they can't get to Odor.

Be persistent.

Tell me it's here and I will reinforce you and it will be variable in nature at times.

And here just change out the toy for odor, and then soon as you get as long as your odor has good value, like like we've been highlighting from the beginning of this episode, as long as the odor has good value to reinforcement, you're gonna get good

you know, persistence or communication.

And like you said, I think people need to understand we really have to be cognizant as we build training that we're building that variable interval schedule into play.

Because we we get ingrained in our head, you gotta pay within half a second or the dog won't know.

And there's truth to that in the beginning stages, but if we don't go into

teaching the dog how to communicate with delay and duration, that reinforcement will happen, they'll get better at it.

But if we get way too patterned and pay, pay, pay, 'cause we're so excited the dog did its thing, we're happy that the dog's

Duration ability or tolerance to delayed reward is gonna be very difficult.
