I'm okay.

I am balancing my career as a theater programming director with political punditry and some other stuff.

And it's very complicated and kind of all over the place, but you know, what's more Gen Z than that?

Yeah, of course we can.

Let's go like fire off.

I do this really toxic and anti-intellectual thing that I think a lot of commentators do where we will either say, look, it's as simple as this.

And then we'll also go, it's too nuanced to distill into one thing.

So I'm going to do the former and say, here's two things I would say.

Number one.

A lot of these younger Gen Zs who, I mean, culturally might as well be a different generation.

You know, that's why I always think that the way we section off generations is always a little silly.

Because if you look at the first and second halves of Gen Z, the only thing we really have in common is the fact that we're addicted to our phones and we're not going to own houses.

But...

I think with this younger half of Gen Z, you see two major things.

Number one, when they were getting old enough to look into and understand what was going on in politics, Trump had already gone in and completely dismantled our understanding of how people are supposed to behave in the public world.

Trump had gone in and made it the norm for somebody to be so brazen, so unprofessional, so bigoted, all these different things.

When you and I were growing up and when you and I were

watching politics unfold and starting to understand, oh, the president does this.

There's this thing called a bicameral legislature.
