A lot of what I don't have is exposition.

I don't necessarily have a lot of setting, a description of the setting.

All of those things come out later.

And then sometimes I even write a little note to myself as I'm writing where I write emotion TK, meaning this is a place where I need to slow down and really get into what's going on beneath the exterior scene.

But I'm not going to do that on this pass.

I'm going to get to that later.

You know, I'll do that in like a second or third or third pass because dialogue is just, it comes when it's coming.

You don't want to, you want to get it down because it's like magic when you can really, when the characters are kind of talking to you.

I did.

Both my first two novels were optioned, and I was attached as screenwriter.

I wrote scripts for both of those.

Neither of them got made, so there is that.

However, I did learn how to write a script in that process, and I enjoyed it a lot.

And I think if you are a writer who tends to enjoy dialogue, script writing is sort of a natural jump for you.

I enjoy script writing a lot, and I'd like to do more of it.

funny enough, social animals started out as a script that I was an original feature script that I was trying to write.

And cause I, it was after I did my two adaptations and I,

I thought, wow, 100 pages, you know, real fast.
