Sorry, folks.
We need to have...
We need a critical infrastructure that now does this and we need to build that and make sure it's in place going forward.
Because, Duncan, you do need a test.
And in having a test, it would also make a big difference to health care workers if they said, hold on a minute, I've had COVID.
I don't need as much PPE in this situation.
I can relax a little bit.
I'm still going to do the gloves, the masks, but I don't need to go in situations where I'm worried about, I'm more worried about putting it on myself and then giving it to somebody, but I'm not worried about me personally getting it.
It would also allow us to understand the extent of the outbreak right now.
You could do that in a random sampling way.
You don't need to give it everybody in the first instance.
But you could sample and just say, in this population of 10,000 people, let's randomly sample how many people have actually got it.
Of them people who have symptoms, let's just sample them.
It could be the figures are 10, 20% right now.
And if they are, that changes everything we do next.
And goodbye from me.
Hi, it's Carl Hennigan here.
I'm not quite sure what my role is anymore.
I'm in my hut in the garden in Oxford.
It's a COVID hut.
