Um so I think there's a lot of question marks over whether or not these kind of proposals tend to be fit for purpose or if they're a bit more of like a a sticking faster over like a much, much bigger problem. voice-verified

you know, Facebook execs talk after that huge settlement that they had in California to um, you know, essentially voice-verified

You know, pay recompense for the damage that they've done to children, but still maintain their sort of monopoly on or like kind of semin s semi-monopoly, or maybe you'd call her like a collusion between all the kind of top uh, you know, sort of social media platforms, but they do just have a stranglehold like on our lives at this point. voice-verified

And I think the idea that just by banning, you know, trying to ban children from being on these platforms. voice-verified

It just doesn't meaningfully engage with what with what the actual problem is. voice-verified

Um and so it's sort of it's frustrating to see this idea being made like a cornerstone, a Versaillon von der Leyen's sort of state of the European Union address when you just think, God, this this problem deal like it it just it yeah, it digs so much deeper than we're actually prepared to engage with. voice-verified
