You know, it was literally just Donald Trump speaking off the top of his head, extemporaneously, just spitballing.
Uh and so while it was it was funny and it I suppose it's
Punny's probably the wrong word, but it it's quite stark, I suppose, in the sense that
It's hard to imagine any other president ever having said anything like this.
And in some ways, it really hammers home the sort of flahoulic nature with which Donald Trump talks about these issues that are so important to various cohorts, but he kind of discusses them as as though they mean nothing.
Yeah, absolutely.
But that certainly was kind of the the main headline moment of this visit.
Uh there was also, of course, he had his courtesy call with Catherine Connolly, uh, which was very interesting because afterwards he really seemed to not want to discuss it.
He was asked about it and he he farmed the question out to one of his aides.
Um and it I find that interesting because you know it's it's not really it's not really like Donald Trump to uh shy away from giving his opinion on anything.

Certainly seemed to, you know, it's so good, Louise.
Like last week you were talking about when you interviewed her, and she was like, Oh, I have my ways of making my point.
And uh, you know, one of the gifts she gave him was the poem Ceasefire by Michael Longley.
Um, and she very, you know, there's no doubt about it.
She was very clear with him as to the Irish people's um attitudes towards war and towards uh violence overseas, and she was making the point that Irish people will always stand strongly behind those who have the strength.

you know, avoid war and to promote peace.
And it seems like she was very clear uh with him on sort of her position when it comes to destruction and and violence.
And I I wonder if that's why he had nothing to say about it, because there's this theory about Donald Trump that he will often just sort of parrot the talking points of the last compelling person he spoke to, and that he's actually very easy to convince of things in the moment.
