And then in stablecoin, that's a whole other realm of technology and potential benefits, but also potential costs ultimately that are going to be in the market.
And there's different social constructs that are driving that as well.
If you look at it, it's not just based off of the technology.
BNY is one of the early enablers of this space.
So if you look at a lot of the stable coin issuers, BNY is proud to support them from a custody and a fiat payments perspective to actually help enable them and provide a lot of the infrastructure for them to participate within the market.
So I think it's...
You know, I don't think there's a crystal wall as to what stable coins will or won't be in five years and 10 years.
I know there's a lot of people in the industry that are invested on seeing them proliferate for payments use cases.
I know others are looking to see them just continue to be used for exchange of network settlement and these type of things.
And they are an off-ramp and on-ramp in some ways to other types of assets within the digital ecosystem as well.
What we do know is that
There is a demand out there, right, from a consumer perspective.
There's a demand there from an exchange perspective.
And there's there that are driving it to see if and where and how it could compete with traditional ways to do payments.
You know, our position is trying to, I'll say, not predict the future, but to plan for the future.
So the approach that we've been very consciously taking is how do we continue to build our ecosystem from a 24-7, 365 perspective?
be able to move cash on and off our books totally transparently, using traditional technologies, using private ledger, participating where we can, like I mentioned in the SWIFT to do interbank settlement tokens.
How do we continue to build as much of an ecosystem as we can to help stablecoin issuers issue stablecoin, where it's legally and from a regulatory perspective allowed?
How do we help investment managers offer the ability to, you know, on ramp and off ramp from cash into stable coin or offer tokenized securities like tokenized gold and money market funds?
And we have some cool examples of that over the last year that we've put out there in the market as well.
