And it's a huge undertaking.
And every time, you know, all of the people who put on these shelters are like watching the weather really closely, getting a shelter up maybe for a couple of days and then taking it back down.
I went and embedded with the team in Burlington that stood one of these up.
last month and went around with them in the shuttle while they picked up people who were outside late at night.
We got a call from a stranger who said, I see this guy who's outside of the Price Chopper grocery store and went in and brought him to the shelter.
So what's your next big reporting project?
What are you working on?
I am covering the legislature right now, so I'm kind of in policy land.
I'm going to be watching closely to see if some more changes are made to this big land use law that we talked about a little while ago.
I'm also going to be following... We've had really severe flooding here the last couple of years that has impacted the housing stock that we do have.
Older towns are built in these river valleys that flood.
And so I'm keeping a close eye on how the state is thinking about where we build that's safe and sustainable and how that kind of overlaps with areas that we want to be in, that are downtowns, that are already neighborhoods.
And that's a real tense situation.
