So, yeah, I held my breath.
There were, I think, 2.8 million people watching the NASA feed at the time.
And I'm pretty sure all the other 2.8 million were holding their breath, too, for good reason.
Yeah.
The numbers are mind boggling.
Just to put it in perspective, the biggest IPO in history was the Saudi state energy company Aramco, and they went public in 2019 and they raised $24 billion at the time, which was just kind of mind boggling.
SpaceX wants to raise $75 billion.
And based on what we know of their finances, that would put their valuation at about $1.75 trillion.
So, I mean, these are huge numbers, almost impossible to calculate.
It would be one of the largest companies in the world.
Just to put things in perspective, NVIDIA's valuation bounces between the high $4 trillion and low $5 trillion.
And Apple is around there as well.
Yeah, trillion, exactly.
And so essentially what it means is it would give SpaceX the capital that it needs to fuel the next chapter in its growth.
So they've got to figure out Starship because basically they've been test launching it for years and they haven't really gotten that much closer to making it an operational, safer human vehicle.
So they need a lot of money to get to that point.
They need a lot of money to build a base on the moon because Elon Musk has said he wants to do that as well.
He wants to go to Mars, obviously.
That's also going to take huge amounts of money.
Hundreds and hundreds of Starship flights.
