Like it's not something that I necessarily think authors should be obliged to reveal about themselves.
I have a lot of people who are interested in my personal life.
I have a lot of discourse that I sometimes have to wade into just because I'm at an event or I'm doing an interview.
So, yeah, I mean, I think about it all the time.
I mean, it's hard to say like if my pregnancy in particular has impacted it because I think it's been so that has been so overshadowed by yesteryear.
But I think generally I feel that pressure all the time, all the time.
So much of this book to me, I think, goes beyond the political binary.
And I think that both whether you're conservative or liberal or religious or not religious, I do think that there is a certain vision of motherhood and of wifedom that you are told as a child that is just so watered down.
And the circumstances can be different depending on your upbringing.
But yeah, I think it's quite disillusioning.
And I mean, the most obvious example is giving birth.
We're not taught anything about that.
We're not given any information about childbirth, about the postpartum experience, anything like that.
And I think it comes as a shock for a lot of women.
Yeah.
You know what?
I don't know if this makes me sound crazy or not, but like, it doesn't really make me feel much.
Like, I think I have been so clear, like Natalie, I think, here's what I'll say.
I think because this wasn't the first manuscript I'd ever written.
This book is not autobiographical in any way.
