And it's not ideal, I don't think, but I think given the prices of this summer, given the free agent class, the the horrible free agent class.

It was probably the right move.

To go this route to kind of load up on these veterans.

And I think it makes sense to me because one thing Ken Holland has repeat repeatedly said about getting the big fish.

Is you can't get the big fish

unless you look competitive every season.

You can't y you know, you look at what's going on around the NHL like

Guys wanna go to teams that are at least have a shot at doing something for the most part, right?

Like that's where everyone's going.

And I think he Ken Holland said this in one of the media avail availabilities that

You keep working, you keep putting a decent product on, you keep making the playoffs, you keep pushing for the playoffs as much as you can, and then one day you get the call that someone wants to come to your team.

So I think that's the way he's looking at it.

I think that's why he built this team this way to give them a shot to be in the playoffs.

Um, and I think he's looking for the next opportunity to get a big fish.
