So this is not about making every presentation shorter or thinner.
It's about knowing the difference between content that serves the audience and content that's trying to protect your identity as the expert.
The more speaking I've done and the more coaching I've done over the past ten years since I've started this business.
I have really come to realize how much as a speaker, whether you're in a room of thirty people leading more of a workshop style, or you're on a stage delivering a keynote to hundreds or maybe even a thousand people.
that you are there to serve the audience, to truly understand where they're at, where they wanna go, what's getting in their way, and how you can help them to think differently so that they can get there.
As you're looking at your presentation or your talk, the question to ask is not, is this good content?
Because it probably is.
The question is, what job is this content doing?
Is it helping the audience follow the journey to learn more about themselves?
Or is it helping me feel safer because I've shown them how much I know?
And those are very different things.
