And this can feel very different, not only in your head, but also in your body.

You maybe get the little bit of like that butterflies or kind of like that just a little bit of like tingle in your body.

And

That's actually a good sign.

That's a sign that you're going somewhere new and different.

You're challenging yourself and you're challenging your audience.

But oftentimes when we're feeling that sensation, we then want to pull back because we fear being seen as too opinionated.

And this is understandable because we've been rewarded for being balanced, pleasant, smiling, generous, careful, prepared.

We learned that if we could be the person who knew the material and didn't make anyone uncomfortable.

We would be safe in the room.

So when thought leadership asks us to say what we believe, something in us can push back.

You can make them practical.
