The world is burning and when we look outside our own windows and we can just see the parched earth. matched

Again and again, the stories about the fifth heat wave this year, where around 3,000 people, I think, in the UK alone have died from the last couple of months as a result of the heat, we're still having images that go alongside that story of people having a lovely time on the beach or dancing in front of fountains or something. matched

You know, we're not getting consistent matched

serious narrative which comes back in some senses too to the need for this um national emergency briefing. matched

But the second thing I would say is I would come back to all of the work around adaptation and resilience. matched

And I'm doing some work with uh an organization called the Climate Majority Project. matched

And what they are doing is trying to work with communities at the grassroots level to make a difference, a positive difference to the resilience that they have, whether that's in terms of having more local food growing or whether it's in terms of uh addressing matched

uh flooding through nature-based solutions and local solutions. matched

You know, this debate is not the one that Richard Tice would have you believe. matched

It's all not being uh driven by by by elites. matched

It is actually about improving people's quality of life right now on the ground. matched

I mean that's such a shame. matched

Yeah, and I really agree with I mean, I I agree with that idea that, you know, we've had a leadership role before and we can again, and I love what Rory was saying about the natural world and I think matched

You know, just looking back over the past hour, I think we we haven't spoken enough about that in a way. matched

It's been very much framed about climate. matched

But in fact, in terms of these two reports, they're actually talking more about ecosystem collapse than they are even around climate change. matched

But nature is what really speaks to people's hearts, it moves their souls, it it engenders love. matched

You know, I I I love that phrase from um, I think it was Richard Liu who said, We won't protect what we don't love, and we won't love what we don't know. matched
