Um, so I engaged with um the community elders here.
I found um a suitable site.
Um it was uh one of our friends that had decided he wanted to basically convert um an existing farm that he'd bought um just into just take out all the alien vegetation and make sure that all the fanboars thrived on this to create a pathway between the mountains and the ocean for
all the biodiversity that we have here.
And he said he didn't want anything to do with the actual F, like the place where the old farmhouse was and everything.
So I asked him if it would be possible for us to use that to develop a school.
So he's kindly put that into a trust so that we can work with the Pebbles Foundation.
Took me a while to get them here, but we now have 160 young people in this project and it's from the first time
thousand days.
Um it's early childhood development and it's a full education facility, um including transport, healthcare, nutrition, education for
children until the age of 13 and then we have a skills development centre for 15 to 25 year olds.
And from the skills development center we've actually developed a really amazing Sommelier culture working together with the Jared Bassett Foundation and the South African Somaliers Association.
And we've also
Done some WACT training and we have some of those wonderful youngsters working in the creation tasting room.
And it's so marvelous to see that um young people that come from really previously disadvantaged backgrounds actually have the chance to have an amazing career.
actually larger, nine nine thousand six hundred species altogether and just sort of superlocally about nine thousand species around us on the mountains.
Um, you know, it has um a high level of um oil um content.
Um so you know, you obviously get a lot of Feinboss oils that are used in um
natural medicine.
Um but what is so interesting is that apparently, you know, the fanworster also renews itself through fire.
