So we'll go over what that includes, but that is what the first curriculum is.
Probably a good place to start with any voice or resonance therapy just to make sure that we're taking care of those things first.
The second curriculum that we have is our resonance or nasality curriculum.
This is when the airflow is either going into the nose when it shouldn't be, or it's not going in the air into the nose when it should be.
And so they might sound like they're kind of stuffy.
They might uh you might actually hear air rattling around inside their nose.
Um, so there's lots of different resonance and nasality things that can be happening.
Voice then is the actual voice box and how the quality of the voice is and how we use our voice uh to speak.
Without a lot of tension, to just kind of use the voice more appropriately for the actual vocal quality.
And then porosity again is that pitch, rate, and volume.
Okay, so let's go into each of those.
So for the foundations of healthy voice use curriculum, here are some signs that a child might benefit from this curriculum or this type of therapy.
This is not something that I invented.
This is therapy that we that a lot of us do for voice.
So these are the strategies that um help us make sure we're using our voice correctly.
Uh but here's some signs that a child might benefit from this.
So coughing or clearing their throat frequently.
Frequently yelling, screaming, or cheering loudly.
Making a lot of loud or harsh sound effects while playing.
speaking very loudly or in an unnatural speaking voice.
