Okay, so.
What I've realized as I've taught this work now over the last six years, there are two key reasons why I ramble.
The first is because I'm a verbal processor or I think out loud.
Now,
I'm going to first acknowledge I didn't realize that this was unusual.
I didn't realize that not everybody does this.
And the real aha moment on this one, that this was a thing, was when I was reading Michael Gazzaniga's book, Who is in Charge?
Free Will and the Science of the Brain.

And he's a neuroscientist who has done, like he's the leader in neuroscience and neuropsychology.
And he is renowned for his split brain experiments where he has studied the impact, particularly on brain surgery patients, about what happens when the right and the left hemispheres of the brain aren't working.
I am not going to try to explain this experiment or this science to you because I am not a scientist.
But my aha moment was in reading that book and he was describing a scenario where a patient needed to speak out loud in order for the other hemisphere of the brain to understand what was going on.
And I just sat there and went, oh, my goodness.
Yes.
That's me.
There will be stuff that's going on in my brain that I can't make sense of until I have verbalized it.
And so the other hemisphere of my brain can receive it.
