And, you know, there are also companies looking at this on their own basis.
You know, Kickstarter, a Brooklyn-based crowdfunding company, has been piloting this on their own.
And they actually didn't adjust any of their goals or targets or any of the things that they plan to accomplish as a business to accommodate for these fewer hours.
They just looked at things like stripping out useless meetings, really prioritizing what's important for each of their teams.
They say that it's fine.
You know, if employees, they work Monday through Thursday are their stated days now.
And if employees want to communicate with each other on email or Slack or whatever on Friday, you know, when the company is technically not working, that's fine.
it's managers who are not supposed to reach out to their direct reports on those days.
But they know that people may have things they need to do.
They may choose to talk to coworkers.
And so in those cases, it's really just about making sure that a manager isn't the one tapping their employee on those days.
And they said that so far, you know, employee engagement has been really high and productivity has actually been really consistent.
But
Lots of employers are not in favor of this.
You know, a recent survey of 459 companies, mostly in tech.
Among those companies, 90% didn't plan to adopt a four-day work week.

This is perhaps the greatest example of why you should never burn your bridges when you leave a company.
You know, you want your time there and how you exited to reflect well on you wherever you are.
It has risen.
