They also unanimously dismissed the application for a retrial.
That was the last possibility of a retrial for Patrick Quirk.
He's exhausted all avenues within the Irish domestic legal system.
So he must serve the rest of his sentence.
And that is the mandatory life sentence for murder.

Okay, so Daniel Ramamorthy was last year convicted of sexually exploiting a 13-year-old boy in 2017 by asking him to send a sexually explicit image over Snapchat.
He also was charged with possession of child sexual abuse material, which is referred to in law as child pornography, and he pled guilty to that charge.
So in March 2025, he was jailed for two years and for four months for those offences.
