Yeah, the attempt to contact Edelman and elicit a response would have probably ended there with that.

But here I am, all of a sudden, hearing that his tenure's ended.

So I'm wondering when.

So I asked him again, follow-up question, can you tell me when?

And when was this announced?

Usually with these PR companies, with someone of Mr Glennon's standing, there would be an announcement of the end of his career, effectively, with that firm.

And they said that...

His tenure had ended in March and there was no external announcement to media.

Well, yes, as of today, though, as of this morning, Mr. Glenn is no longer on the Edelman website.

He's no longer listed as a non-executive chair or

public affairs advisor, which he previously was, I'd asked Edelman yesterday why he was still on the website and they didn't answer that.

But as of today, he's gone.

But he's still listed on his own personal LinkedIn as non-executive chairman of Edelman.

Yes, that was the obvious follow-up question.

And the reply to that was that they would not be commenting further.

So that was that.

The Taoiseach said that he stands over his original remarks on this, that the person should come forward and that it is right and proper that that person did come forward.

I think this case has shone a light on the issue of character references.

And we spoke about this before, like you said.

This whole process of giving these references, it's so traumatising for victims.
