And you post flags in your remembrance and your pictures and your videos.
On September 11th, you shed a tear, say never forget.
But by September 14th, which is what we are today, we're back to sleep.
And so for me, remembering nine eleven wasn't nostalgia, it was a warning.
Because we remember what evil looks like and evil has not only infiltrated uh infiltrated our country, but people who are American citizens have embraced the evil and justified it.
So I want people to remember what real courage looks like.
Remember firefighters running up the stairs while everybody else is running down, run into crisis when we run away from it.
Amer remembering that America that put aside its petty differences, remembered we were one people.
And so that's why I wrote Never Forget.
I want people to get the broader emotional scale of it.
It doesn't just happen one day a year.
It's three sixty five.
We gotta remember this.
It's not it's not about hate.
It's about remembering who we are foundationally.
Because a nation that forgets what it costs to remain free will eventually forget that freedom costs anything at all.
And unfortunately, Steve, that's where we're living.
You know, it people people do get a positive response because they remember, but I want them, I want them to go get this song, download it, make it an anthem you play year-round.
