Does it seem like he's saying, I can't confirm or deny, but yeah. It's always strange to me to hear when folks talk about this case and they speak with such conviction around the possibilities of what could be. But then when it comes to something that doesn't add up, they so quickly jump into the lane of, I wasn't there, I don't know, I can't say for sure.

You've got to fight back this narrative that has really created confusion, doubt. You don't want the momentum behind seeking justice and answers for Nolan Wells to die down. And so you have to now present a counter narrative. But the problem with this is

is that it just jumbles up the space where again, for the prosecutors who were involved, the information drought that they've created is now, that void is now being filled with a bunch of different stuff

And we're willing to cooperate with law enforcement to do that. But for many people, they may have just heard the account, oh, they didn't turn over the phone.
