Because every organization, especially values-based ones, have people who become sort of checkers.
that you're doing it the way that we do it.
But the more people you have checking that the way we're doing it, the longer it takes to make a decision.
Right.
And so somehow you have to, you have to be alive to
Um, your set of principles as you solve an ever-changing set of business problems, which you just described.
It really helps with the this not this, right?
Because at any given moment you're always faced with a a big nasty hornet's nest of opportunity and challenge.
And, you know, in a place like Patagonia, the answer is like, well, we do not do it this way.
Like we are not gonna compromise these things.
Um, we do things, you know, wherever possible we are experimentalist, you know, and you know, it we love to design, break, build, redesign, right?
And so those kind of things run through the organization.
And I do think that they help simplify.
um problems and make decision making faster when we're at our best.

Well, so I and I think that's right.
And it's so important that you point it out that best people is actually endogenous, not exogenous to the system.
Best people comes because people, there's a market, and it's just why, you know, the the the the resurgence of an old fashioned way of thinking about capitalism isn't gonna win.
Right.
Because the truth is we compete in the market for investors.
