I was like, yeah, man, I'm playing defense.

He was like, oh, okay.

He excited because, like I said, I was being recruited as a running back.

I mean, I rushed for 2,000, you know, my senior year.

So I could tote the rock a little bit, you know, but I associated that position with my knees.

And that was a conscious decision by myself to be like, I'm a good enough athlete.

I'm going to be able to play anywhere.

So when I come to Michigan and I'm coming, I'm playing defense.

And that's where that came from.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Man, it was a great experience, man.

First of all, to go to a big time, you know, school, you know, like Michigan, you know, with all of the history that they have.

And, you know, I remember getting there my freshman year.

And, you know, when you're on your visits, you don't see the whole team.

You kind of see the other recruits.

Might be a few people there working out, that sort of thing.

And I remember getting there.

Right.

And, you know, first day of practice, and, you know, there's walk-ons.

There's a lot of people there, but you don't know who's who.
