And so then that spring put me in a couple of plays on offense.

And he was like, oh, yeah, you know, we can do that.

And so that's kind of where that started, you know, playing on that side of the ball.

And honestly, man, I didn't play a whole lot of offense like it.

It seemed like it because when I was in the game, I would get the ball and I would make a play.

But, you know, I went to Heisman in 97 and I think I had, I may have had 12 catches.

You know what I mean?

Maybe 12 catches for like 200 some yards.

But defense was where I made my hay.

And, you know, Lloyd Carr always, you know, told me, he said, hey, man, if anything slips on defense, I ain't putting you on offense.

So I had to always keep the main thing the main thing in terms of playing on that side of the ball.

But when I got in the game, they pretty much knew I was going to get the ball.

But that was it.

Probably 12 catches.

But it was, you know, some impactful plays.

And...

You know, that whole season was kind of up and down in terms of who was in front.

You know, you had Peyton and then you had a few other guys, you know, Ryan Leaf, you had Randy Moss, and it was a horse race all year.

And, you know, then, of course, the punt return, which you mentioned.
