I really think that.

Well, I mean, that's a good question, a hard question.

I hope so.

I mean, purpose is such a central thing for all of us to have.

So it's crucial to feel like we have purpose.

And I think having been very aware of my own failings,

and being as honest as I can about them, if that has helped someone feel less of a failure, then maybe we haven't failed.

For me, this idea, okay, that if I can be in a little room making inky marks on paper somewhere and they go out into the world and they make someone in...

Australia, in the town somewhere, they'll never go, feel better about their day and more hopeful and less alone.

And it gives them some kind of voice they didn't think, anything like that.

Or they choose to stay when they were thinking about not.

And that for me is, that is purpose, isn't it?

I think you're incredible and your book's beautiful and vulnerable and so honest and so necessary and so human and funny and keep saying and doing what you're doing is a very important thing.
