It turns out that DJ Frankie,
A.K.A.
Justin, had lost someone really close to him in his life.
And I had also lost someone very close to me in my life two years prior.
And his name was Vale.
Vale always said that I would write See You Again.
So maybe, I don't know, maybe that was him throwing the song down to me.
It's a pretty cool story.
I don't know if he was that specific.
He just said I would, cause I was just dying to get into the music industry when I was in college.
And he said, you're going to be in the music industry.
He would always predict the future in some strange way.
I think he was telepathic.
We would walk up and down the street in Boston pretending to go to class.
I don't want to take these classes.
All I want to do is be signed and have a publishing deal or a record contract.
And he was like, you're going to have all of that.
And you're going to write a really big song too.
And he died in 2012 in June.
And then two years later in July of 2014, I wrote See You Again.
