Why do you say that?
Because you come prepared.
You keep it flowing.
You just get a good... Before you hear a brand new song and you know it's going to be good, like I know this is going to be good.
I can tell.
It wasn't for anything.
That was just me telling you.
I appreciate that.
What was the question?
Oh, really?
I think, I mean, the first successful song I wrote was See You Again.
That's the day I got signed, and that was a hell of a way to start off.
But I think maybe a more interesting answer was maybe how I got there, because I came up in the Tumblr 2010s YouTube world.
Yeah, yeah.
the the the stunner shades the mustache on the finger kind of yeah yeah kind of millennial stuff um and we didn't always i i was making music for youtubers and it was fitting for the time it wasn't the most um artistic it was more just i want to make a a song for this person's youtube channel so they'll promote my youtube channel and sometimes the music got a little
you know, ukulele, corny at times.
But I think that changed when I graduated from Berklee College of Music in 2013, moved back in with my parents in January of 2014.
And I was still making YouTube videos, but I really wanted to focus on writing songs for...
Actual artists.
Not just YouTubers.
