I just paddle on time.

And I had headed out to Maroubra.

From Coogee.

From Bondi.

Going in and out of the bays and was on my way back to Bondi.

So when it's pretty flat conditions, I like to...

cut the, uh, not cut the corners and just really follow the coastline to get as much distance as I can.

I go out and I go straight across towards the icebergs.

Yeah.

Out around the headland.

And what that also means is when I'm paddling with other people that are different speeds, if I'm faster than they can cut corners to catch up to me.

Yeah.

I'm trying to do it with a squad of ski paddlers that are faster than me.

If they hug the headland, I can cut corners to catch up to them.

And it's just a little bit nicer being close to people.

And if something does go wrong, you're not as far from home if you need to get back.

Yeah.

Well, I'd already actually made it all the way to Maroubra.

So in and out of all the bays.
