And that's the issue with technology, that some philosophers and others are thinking about this idea, when do we afford moral status to technology?
Should we actually be thinking about these things in terms of protections?

I wanted to pick up on the during test point because what you had said as well, there are multiple scenarios in which humans, for example, in medicine, multitasking, doctors, if you look at transcripts, they look like they feel it during test.
And now we're seeing LLMs can actually surpass.
When they're blinded studies, they're rated much more empathetic.
So they seem like they actually have some sentience.
And it may be that doctors or other professionals in certain scenarios actually are acting like stochastic parrots.
They can't feel everything all the time.
They just have to behave.
And in that sense, you've got actually an interesting dilemma.
