You have stayed so true to Charlotte and the consistency of what it takes to be on top and to be that good of a bad guy.
They're actually hating you
thinking that that is you.
But I was like, okay, this is, I felt at some point where I was like, well, if there's like future sponsorships or like we had just gone to Netflix or like these people are watching this and then like the headlines are like, she's this, she's that.
And I'm like, well, we're not attacking the character anymore.
We're attacking Ashley.
And like, no one's coming to the rescue, which no one should.
But I'm like, hey, I don't want my future employers thinking that like,
They don't know the difference between Ashley and Charlotte.
And that's kind of how I felt like up against the wall.
That is one of the very rare things about wrestling.
Unlike most people are very clear on the idea that the actor is not the character.
But because the bleeding over of personal life and character in wrestling is so unique.
When I'm on Dancing with the Stars, nobody's coming up to me yelling at me about my divorce from 2015.
Whereas in the wrestling world- It's so strange.
It's not even just the fans.
That's the hard part, is that the bleeding over of the life and the character.
You are trying to validate yourself on fake wins and losses.
