Happily it's in really quite straightforward language.
I just think it's the most in one small poem encapsulates so much of what living in Kiev is like now, I think.
In other words, she expresses this almost impossible juxtaposition of experiences that living under this war.
involves that one minute you might be doing something incredibly ordinary, like making breakfast for your little son.
And the next minute you might be hiding in the corridor from uh a rocket attack.
How was your day?
How are you doing?
You ask.
And I'm thinking
At four AM the air raid siren woke me.
My son and I hunkered down on the corridor, I listened to the rockets flying over us, that unmistakable eerie thrum.
