And it occurred to me, again going back to my very first monograph, that

There's another notion of essentialism which doesn't have to do with

criteria for kind membership.

Which is what the

exclusion argument and the social construction argument address really.

uh target, as it were.

But rather this idea that

Um the essence is what makes a collection or sum of parts into an individual.

And this is Aristotle's idea.

And so

I thought that I start to think about how this might be applicable to

gender and um

How it raised a different kind of question.

from the question of kind membership.
