This wind chill is absolutely insane.
And I think at this point I'm realizing what you really need out here is some good gloves and being able to wrap up your ears and your mouth and just your face because I think that would help tremendously.
Because of this wind, it's really starting to bring some of that sand up here.
It's not as rocky as we've seen with past storms before, but still those waves kind of pushing up on shore.
The white cats really out in the distance.
So that's definitely something that we're watching for.
But honestly, so far what I've seen all morning, I took a morning walk today and a lot of people are out doing also their morning walk and their runs.
A lot of people say they're layering up as much as possible.
You can already tell the roads are getting pretty slick.
Of course, there's a lot of the salt that a lot of the crews were out here pre treating the past few days and they said that what they're going to be doing is they're going to have crews on standby.
So we're already seeing some precipitation come down.
It almost looks like a miss, but when we look at what we have right now, again, power outages are also going to be very important.
for Duke Energy here in the Carolinas, well over 300 already in the Charlotte area for power outages.
And one thing is, is that the crews, the Charlotte Department of Transportation mentioned that if there is that ice and infrastructure, you could see some power outages, which would affect the signals.
