So one example of a conference that we went to earlier this year that was very fruitful was the Milken Institute Conference back in May in Beverly Hills, which is a gathering of kind of like political, finance, culture, philanthropy, just kind of like thought leaders across all of those industries. podcast-host

So Jean and I went to a conversation between Rahm Emanuel and former governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin. podcast-host

And we had Rahm Emanuel on our podcast several months ago. podcast-host

And as you know, he has a reputation for being a pretty feisty debater. podcast-host

It was what I would like to call a live debate between Rahm Emanuel and Glenn Youngking. podcast-host

fascinating they were talking about education they're talking about policy they're talking about like global economic policy as well which honestly I am not a policy person I think I have much to learn there so hearing two experts in policy kind of go at it I was like it felt what I would imagine like a presidential debate to be like yeah it had that kind of vibe yeah it was actually really fun see this is such a good example of being in the room where it happens because they were like podcast-host

We should probably say their former governor, Glenn Youngkin, was all red in the face. podcast-host
