I'm also a little bit nervous because I'm usually you.

And I don't I'm not usually asked the questions.

I think this might be the first time.

that I have been the person that is being interviewed.

I know you work for yourself as well and it's hard.

It's really hard.

But we always have to come up with something new.

We always have to pivot if you like. 'Cause people often say to me, you know, you'll need to pivot and I'm thinking, What direction do I pivot in?

I don't know, I don't know.

But we have such a wonderful audience.

You know, it's been going on for nearly twelve years now, um, better reading.

I knew that we needed to do something different but I couldn't work out what that was.

And so what I was in San Francisco and I received an email from a reader called Wendy, just a random person out there.

uh reader and she said, Cheryl, there is nowhere on your website or is there somewhere on your website where I couldn't

Count how many books I read, 'cause I know people love to do that.

And I had a look and I just thought no, no there isn't actually.

And then when I went for a walk later that day, I thought, who does do that?

And of course I thought about the book tracking apps, right?

I thought, why don't I have an app?
