Why is there not an Australian app?

And then I thought there must be an Australian app and I've missed it.

So I came back and I did some research that very day.

And there wasn't.

And the very next day, because I was in developer land, being in San Francisco, you know, there are just a dime a dozen there.

I decided that I was going to find a developer and I was going to build an app.

And I did, and I wanted it to be Australian.

Because a lot and you'll know this, a lot of what people tell me with Goodreads in particular is that Australian books don't even come up in the first search.

Australian authors can very often not find themselves or at their at the bottom of the search.

So I felt that if I was going to do it, it needed to have a point of difference.

And that point of difference needed to be that it's Australian.

Well, I mean, I think we have similar backgrounds.

I grew up in a Lebanese Australian family.

I was born here.

Some of my sisters were born in Lebanon.

Another sister and I were born here and then the others were born in Lebanon.

So they were coming and going through time.

So by the time they came back and settled, I was doing kindergarten as a six year old.

I was a bit older.

And of course we didn't go to preschool back then or anything.
