when you're judging every other team i would say the only two things you can really look at is like play style like how they play the game and then just the the roster of who they have on the team and i think i've really admired for a long time the way that these guys play i feel like they play really really hard
It feels like they're playing with each other.
It feels like they're playing the game the right way for the most part.
And then obviously they're talented as all get out.
So it was an easy decision to be really interested in this team when they were interested in me.
But when it comes to the little things and what it actually takes...
That's such a personal level where you have to really know the people, you have to really understand the person, you have to understand all those things, and those you cannot do in free agency.
The human element of it all
I can't even remotely look at Gunnar Henderson and be like, what does he need?
What does he need to improve?
What are his deficiencies and things like that?
Just because I'm not in it with them.
So until I actually get in the room with them, understand them, watch them play, watch them handle success, watch them handle failure behind the scenes,
I can't help or I can't judge anybody.
I mean, word of mouth is great, but at the end of the day, like, I can't really do much.
The only thing else I would say on that is, like, the only other judgment that you could possibly have is, like, playoff success, a team that has playoff success.
Like, everyone talks about, like, the Dodgers and how good they are in roster and all that.
Well...
Fortunately, unfortunately, I've had a lot of friends that have played with the Dodgers.
And everyone talks about the talent, but no one wants to talk about the environment that they have made and built there.
