Okay.
I'm a firm believer that the old school approach of the game, the old school mentality of what mattered back in the day was the most important things within our game.
And that was not striking out.
That was running the bases the right way.
That was tagging up.
That was moving runners over.
It wasn't launch angle.
It wasn't exit belows.
It wasn't anything like that.
And... I hope teams haven't figured that out yet.
As a pitcher, you must have been like, man, getting through that lineup is... Well, it's just anyone... Any team that doesn't strike out a lot and any team that fouls off a lot of pitches and waste pitches and has long at-bats, it is so hard to pitch to teams like that.
The teams that are...
hitting a ton of home runs, they have a lot of swing and miss, and they don't run the bases well, and they don't tag up and things like that.
I'd rather face teams like that than I would the team that's super scrappy and I'm having 35, 40 pitch innings because there's 25 balls and things like that.
It's just really good pitchers can kind of navigate through,
home runs.
It's really hard for good pitchers to go deep into a game.
You're facing schoolboy, you're facing schemes, or obviously any one of those top pitchers.
The odds of you scoring a lot of runs on them is very little.
So it's like, how can you get them out after five innings?
