So it really is kind of, I guess, encouraging, you know, probably not the behaviors we want from an investor perspective and a corporate perspective, but definitely we're already seeing it, you know, post budget is more demand for our income flavored strategies over our growth.

So I think, I mean, the word discipline is probably the best way to describe the benefits, which is that leads to you ensuring that money keeps on compounding and growing.

And I think avoiding brokerage is another reason people used to pay ComSec $20 every time you keep on reinvesting.

I think under the new CGT changes, it also adds some problems.

So first of all, when you sign up to a DRP, you still are taxed as if you received that dividend.

And so you're going to need to find that money somewhere to pay the tax bill.

So it doesn't avoid the tax of receiving the distribution.

The other complexity is probably one you might not have thought about, Darren, which is that every reinvestment you're making creates a new parcel of shares, its own purchase date, its own cost base.

And under indexation of cost bases, that's going to add a whole lot more complexity from an administrative perspective.

That's someone else's problem, though, isn't it, really?

Well, yeah, it became my problem recently.

My grandma wanted to sell some Westpac shares that she bought, you know, decades ago and said, hey, Chris, here's all my paperwork.

Can you help me work out the tax?

And, you know, she had been part of a DRP in calculating the cost bases on many parcels.

And it took me more time than I want to talk about.

Well, yeah, when you're scanning grandma's documents and putting it into a spreadsheet, I could eventually use AI, but it was a bit of manual work first.

But Darren, keeping the admin side in mind, and then maybe the last point is concentration.

You know, when we're receiving dividends for clients, we're often reinvesting it into different ETFs to help to rebalance the portfolio, right?
