And it wasn't until I really got into coaching where it's like, yeah, okay, it's great.
Like we just watched the kid the other day at, you know, the Section 7 camp that, you know, I mean, he lit the world on fire in terms of his points.
But it was like all we talked about as coaches, like, do you see the way he used that screen?
Do you see the way he came off that screen?
Do you see the way when he was getting hot?
They doubled him, and he just got off the ball easily.
He didn't force anything.
We're talking about that more than how many actual points.
To us, it's everything because there's only a certain couple of guys a year that are going to come into college basketball and average 15 to 25 points right away.
It's all the other things can you do.
And the main thing no one really talks about is can you keep your guy in front of you on the defensive end?
Because a lot of times we're like, oh yeah, he can play the two, but who can he guard?
Who can he guard?
We have a good imagination, but I would tell kids, yeah, it's great to score the basketball, but what is your and?
What else do you do?
And that's going to separate you.
And sometimes it's just like he's an elite communicator.
Yeah, so, you know, especially when you go to a place like Duke, right?
And obviously Duke has won, I think, three more national championships.
And Coach has probably won a thousand more games before he retired.
